Poncho Sweater pattern

An oversized pullover poncho sweater with stand up collar and drop stitch detailing on the sleeves and center panels, front and back. Knit on Bulky Gauge Machine in plating stitch in Linen and Bambu fingering weight yarns. This finished garment combines the softness and drape of bamboo fiber with the stability and lightness of linen. The entire garment is knit in plating stitch for a uniform blending of the fibers, and to place the softer fiber closer to the skin.

Three variations are offered for the center panels and sleeves.  Instructions included for bleach discharge to highlight the drop stitch detailing, when knit in all black.  For low water immersion dyeing of panels refer to Ann Johnston’s Color by Accident book.
